Maintaining Japan’s top selection of Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery,
we aim to be Tokyo’s premier flagship shop bringing together Kyoto’s traditional crafts, including tea utensils, folding fans, Kyoto ceramic dolls, bamboo craftwork, and Kyoto lacquerware.
Valuing traditional seasonal festivals, we propose works that reflect the distinct charm and elegance of each season.
While our selection previously focused on traditional craft, in recent years many featured artists have begun transcending the traditional boundaries of craft. To provide a platform for their expression, we established a new art gallery section at Palace Hotel Tokyo.
Moving forward, we aim to serve as a springboard from this venue to help widely introduce artists whose creations blur the boundary between craft and art, or sublimate craft into pure fine art.
